  7. The committee discussed the decision of the PIAA Board of Directors to extend the football season by one week at the end of the season for the 2006-07 school year.  Mr. Batzel was directed to poll at District 5 schools concerning the decisions District 5 should take for the Class A Playoffs in 2006.
  8. The committee worked for an extensive time reviewing the PIAA District Handbook for the 2005-06 school year.   Playoff dates and qualifying information, meeting dates, committee information, game fees, and champions were set.  The handbook will be distributed to all committee members and to all District 5 schools at the annual meeting with Brad Cashman, PIAA Executive Director, to be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at the Arena Restaurant, at 10:00 a.m.  Mr. Palumbo will be sending invitations to all committee members and District 5 schools.
  9. Spring reports were presented on championships by Mr. Knisely, Baseball, Mr. Cutchall, Softball, and by Mr. Batzel, Track and Field.
